    We strongly recommend booking in advance, especially on weekends, holidays, and during school breaks.

    Tickets purchased from unauthorized websites or resellers will not be honored.

  • We do not sell physical tickets at the door.

    A QR code is available at the entrance that links directly to our official website, where you can view real-time availability and purchase tickets.

  • Children 4 years old and under receive free admission and do not need a ticket.
    All guests 5 years of age and older require a ticket to enter.

  • All minors under 18 must have adult supervision at all times during their visit and at each exhibit.—no drop-offs allowed.

  • Yes, strollers are permitted. Please keep them with you at all times, as we do not offer stroller check-in or storage.

  • Yes, the Museum of Illusions Austin is ADA wheelchair accessible.

    Some rooms feature slanted floors and may be less accessible; these rooms can be bypassed during your visit.
    Please note that we do not provide wheelchairs or walkers.

  • We recommend allowing 45 to 90 minutes for your visit, depending on your level of curiosity and photo-taking.
    There is no time limit once inside; however, re-entry is not permitted.

  • The closest parking option is the Orange Parking Garage at The Domain.

  • The Museum of Illusions Austin at The Domain is accessible via Capital Metro:

    • MetroRapid 803 – connects Downtown Austin to The Domain
    • Bus Route #3 – stops near Braker Lane
    • Route 392 (Braker) – serves the surrounding area

    You may also take the MetroRail Red Line to Kramer Station and connect via bus or rideshare. Use the CapMetro app for trip planning.

  • No ticket is required. Everyone is welcome to explore our Smart Shop, featuring souvenirs, one-of-a-kind puzzles and games, apparel, and fun accessories.

    Please note that access is subject to capacity. The Museum of Illusions Austin is a cashless business and accepts electronic forms of payment only.

  • No. Smoking or vaping is not allowed anywhere inside the museum. Guests who do so will be asked to leave.

  • No. Food and beverages are not permitted inside the museum.

  • No. Pets are not permitted inside the Museum of Illusions Austin.
    In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we permit trained service animals that are individually trained to perform tasks for a person with a disability.
    Emotional support animals, therapy animals, and pets are not considered service animals under ADA regulations and are not permitted.

  • Tickets are non-refundable once purchased. If entry is denied due to the presence of a non-service animal, a refund will not be issued.
    At management’s discretion, a one-time courtesy option such as rescheduling the visit or issuing store credit may be offered.

  • Your confirmation email includes access to a customer portal where you may reschedule your visit more than 24 hours in advance, subject to availability.

    Tickets are non-refundable, so please be sure to select the correct date and time when booking. We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and while refunds are not guaranteed, management may offer a one-time courtesy option such as rescheduling or store credit at their discretion.

  • Absolutely! Guests are encouraged to take photos and share their experience on social media. Please be mindful of other visitors and avoid using flash in exhibits where it is prohibited. Tripods and selfie sticks are allowed as long as they do not interfere with other guests’ experience.

  • Yes! Discounts apply automatically for groups of 15 tickets or more when booked online through our self-checkout system. [here] .Group rates are available Sunday through Friday. Smaller groups (under 15 tickets) are charged regular price, and self-booking online is the easiest option. A typical group visit lasts 45–60 minutes to enjoy all exhibits and puzzles. We recommend checking availability and booking in advance.

  • Yes! We offer a private room that can accommodate up to 15 guests. For inquiries about renting the room, or for interest in booking the full facility for a partial or full day, please contact [email protected].

  • Guests may inquire at the front desk for lost items. The museum is not responsible for lost or stolen items, so please keep personal belongings with you.

  • The museum is indoors and fully climate-controlled. In the event of emergencies or building closures, management will contact guests who have pre-booked tickets via the email used during booking.

  • Masks and hand sanitizer are available for guests who wish to use them. High-touch surfaces are regularly disinfected. Guests who feel unwell are asked to reschedule their visit.
